Lighting can be tricky. Use too much an you run the risk of making your home feel like an airport terminal. Apply it too sparingly and you'll diminish the beauty of your furniture and finishes. We make layered lighting a priority in every interior scheme.

There are three types of lighting you should consider when creating a scheme: ambient, accent and task.

Ambient lighting is considered to be the foundation of a lighting scheme. It refers to the general illlumination in a space.

Accent lighting is used to emphasize design elements or draw attention to a certain item.

Task lighting is used for functional tasks or areas where work is being performed.

If you're unsure about how or where to position lighting in your home, think about using it to guide viewers through a space, similar to how a docent guides a museum exhibition tour.

Lighting was dramatically incorporated in this Brooklyn bathroom to highlight scale, provide context, and enhance the room's ambiance. By combining linear sconces, cove lighting, recessed spotlights and indirect sources like LED strips places behind the suspended mirrors, we accentuated material changes and surface textures, adding depth and visual interest.

And one more thing... 𝗔𝗟𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 use dimmers. No one needs to see your house from space!
