PRO TIP: A Color Theory

“What color should I paint my room?"…you might ask. 

My answer may surprise you.

My opinion... DON'T choose color first. Let the space's function dictate your selection.

To enhance the appearance of a basement media room without windows, we opted for a darker design scheme to create a cozy atmosphere. By using a monochromatic chocolate color palette, we transformed the space into a more suitable environment for watching movies on a large screen, departing from the previous clinical white decor. The room serves multiple purposes as a play area for kids and sleeping quarters for guests who can utilize pull-out sofas. The darker upholstery helps conceal any stains or marks from sticky fingers, while the deep wall color promotes relaxation for a good night's sleep.

Rather than fight your home's existing conditions, find strategic ways to celebrate them and make them work for you!
