This six story modernist townhouse was delivered with grand proportions and perhaps intentionally exhibitionist-scaled windows. We welcomed these architectural features as invitation to theater — to summon the light conveyed, choreograph its shifting moods and set the stage for lavish living. Performing a top-down renovation, we designed new millwork on every level, dramatic fireplace surrounds and custom lighting to complement the client's collection of museum-worthy contemporary art and infuse the home with verve and poise.

Swirling suspended clouds, plush basil-hued
carpet and oversized stone cushions occupy the play area nestled between dual nurseries on the children's floor.
Respite and seduction fit hand-in-glove in the primary suite where every surface demands to be touched. Metallic tile, linen upholstered walls and silk floorcovering cocoon the space in refined sensuality.

BEHIND THE SCENES
Custom designs in metal punctuate a number of rooms throughout the house. In the Media Room, the bar's perforated drip tray and high cantilvered shelves with cylindrical supports, both finished in bronze, were designed in-house. We also conceived the Foyer's racetrack tray as a console substitute for keys and small personal effects.
CUSTOM METAL DESIGNS PUNCTUATE SEVERAL ROOMS IN THE HOUSE, INCLUDING THE MEDIA ROOM'S PEFORATED DRIP TRAY AT THE BAR AND THE HIGH CANTILVERED SHELVES WITH CYLINDRICAL SUPPORTS, BOTH FINISHED IN BRONZE. WE ALSO CONCEIVED THE FOYER'S RACETRACK TRAY AS A CONSOLE SUBSTITUTE FOR KEYS AND PERSONAL EFFECTS.
