After working unsuccessfully with another designer,
our client brought us in to rescue this penthouse
renovation with a fresh architectural perspective.
We were inspired by the landmarked building's historic charm
and coveted location on one of Boston's famed
tree-lined promenades to conjure a stately and sumptuous
dwelling plucked from Paris's 16th Arrondissement.
DRY BAR
Hidden behind Venetian plaster doors, a dry bar with bas-relief wallpaper and an illuminated resin wall-mounted credenza flanks the dining room's 12' long velvet banquette.

FOYER
Custom plaster mouldings, a blackened steel and glass arched partition, and walnut-hued paneling create a new grand entry experience just off a private elevator.
FIREPLACE
We proposed a long, low, stone surround with a custom, wall-mounted, wire mesh TV cabinet set within a recesed niche. Ultimately the client preferred a more traditonal chimney breast, prompting us to pivot to a revised design.
