Whether you're making upgrades to existing kitchens and bathrooms or imagining an entirely new residence, our Architectural Advisory service augments our Interior Design service to harmonize all aspects of your home. Prior to construction, we'll work with you, your architect and/or or builder on floor plans and make comprehensive selections for materials, plumbing fittings, lighting and architectural details such as mouldings, baseboards, and door styles. During the construction process, we act as your liaison with the general contractor to ensure adherence to design intent.

During the Development Phase of your project, we collect and analyze spatial data along with your aesthetic preferences and functional requirements. On your behalf, we also assemble the implementation team best suited to perform all required installations. Through a process of iteration and refinement, our design ideas are synthesized in a bespoke vision for your home and captured in your Design Presentation to provide a complete visual and financial picture of your project before we start swinging hammers.

We are committed to providing impeccable service and legendary design. To that end, we accept a limited number of commissions each year, and we aim to ensure compatibility and a mutual commitment to the success of our partnership early on. Our projects are long-term relationships, and we spend months and years in our clients homes. Suffice it to say, we see a lot of each other's faces for a very long time. We don't want anyone to sign on the dotted line and later discover that we disagree fundamentally about in-laws, spending habits, who's going to take out the trash... oh wait, wrong partner. But you get the idea. We employ a rigorous and transparent discovery process to learn equally about each other and to establish clarity and trust from the start.

In order to provide our clients with personalized service, we accept a limited number of commissions each year. Establishing a solid foundation for project success is an important step in our process. The more information you provide the better equipped we'll be to advise the service that best fits your needs. Our projects are long-term relationships, and we spend months and years in service to our clients. In order to determine our compatibility, we conduct a brief 15-20 minute call to discuss your timeline, financial investment, expectations and goals, and obtain a general sense of why you want to work with us . If you have questions or concerns, this is your opportunity to bring them to the table!
Before any work begins, our Principal, Marc, meets with each prospective client for paid on-site assessment. This organic interaction allows him to make a personal introduction, evaluate the space first-hand, share spontaneous ideas, resources or recommendations, and review the details of our working relationship. Any Proposals for Services will be furnished within 5 business days.
After the Assessment, we’ll create a detailed, custom Proposal for Services for you that will include a comprehensive plan for executing the design along with the project fees, our suggested investment and estimated timeline.
To confirm your place on our Design Calendar, an executed Agreement and all required Initial Payments are due. We do not reserve positions without both complete items.
Once we receive your executed Agreement and Payments, we'll meet with you to review our Onboarding processes to integrate you into our systems. We'll also coordinate with your architect or builder if they've already been engaged. At this stage, you'll receive a detailed Design Profile questionnaire to provide us with all the information we'll need to begin designing your project.

We bring our preferred contractor and trades to your home to review existing conditions and provide us with preliminary estimates for work. Concurrently, we conduct a thorough site survey to prepare full working drawings from which your new design is conceived and built.
Before moving into the full design process, and to ensure we've headed in the right direction, we propose an optimal space plan with furniture layouts and an associated high-level budget projection for your approval.
This comprehensive presentation typically occurs at the project site and will detail all proposed selections and their costs along with sketches and technical drawings required to commnicate the design to you and the implementation team. We also provide physical samples of all materials, finishes, carpets, stone, tile, fabrics and any other specialty surfaces for you to see and feel the items that will ultimately become your home.
On the rare occasion that there are items which fail to resonate, you'll have the opportunity to make changes and approve all items in advance of purchasing and construction.

Installation

In this final phase, all moving parts settle into place, culminating in a fully-realized home. We coordinate logistics of transport and any trades required for finishing touches before walking through with you to review the finished space.

Implementation

We take ownership of our design from inception through implementation to ensure it is delivered to you just as it was envisioned. We are adamant about protecting your investment in our design service by remaining actively involved beyond the creative process. During this phase, we manage the bid process and act as the client's liaison with the site team and various workrooms to ensure adherence to design intent. At the same time, we initiate orders and orchestrate logistics of all furniture, fixtures and equipment

We prepare the full bid package for the project scope of work and submit it to our trusted and vetted general contrators and trades. Upon receipt of their estimates, we analyze the contents of each, review with you, and advise as to our suggested course of action for you to contract directly with the them.
We purchase all approved items and manage their arrival, receipt, inspection, inventory and storage either at the jobsite as neccessary, or to a local receiving agent until construction is complete.
For the duration of construction or if individual trades are necessary, we remain in regular contact with the general contractor and installers to answer any questions about areas we have designed and we make site visits to advise on critical installations. If custom furniture, lighting or millwork has been designed, we also review and revise shop drawings issued by fabricators and visit their workrooms to assess production.
Upon on nearing construction completion, we will conduct a walk through with you to observe any areas that require further attention or that do not meet the contractual standards before and a list will be compiled by the GC for resolution before final handover and furniture delivery.

We coordinate and oversee delivery, placement and assembly of all furniture in a single transport.
For those who prefer the look of a magazine-ready space and the convenience of a turnkey environment, we procure bedlinens, dishware, soft goods and decorative objects to stage your home with final touches to complement our design.
We assist clients with integrating existing collections of art, advising on new acquisitions, coordinating custom framing, and overseeing placement.
We maintain long-term relationships with our clients and provide ongoing counsel for room refreshes, new furnishings, collection growth or project additions as life changes or special events necessitate
