I’m always on the hunt for unique pieces with intriguing histories to incorporate into my designs as a way to bring individuality and appeal to every space. During a recent visit to London, I was thrilled to discover this overscaled articulating steel wall light with a curious past while rummaging vintage stores in Chelsea. Salvaged from a 1950s British operating theater, this industrial surgeon’s lamp could be fashionably resurrected in a modern environment as a handsome sofa complement, sleek dining focal point or whimsical powder room statement.
